CITY OF SANDY ORGANIZATION CHART
Budget units are referred to, interchangeably, as programs or
departments (for example, the code enforcement program, or the water
department). For management purposes, the city is organized into
functional departments that may be responsible for several budgetary
units. For example, while we commonly refer to the "water
department" or the "sewer department," these are actually
separate budgetary programs that fall under the direction of the Public
Works Department, and are managed by the Public Works Director.
The Organization Chart below shows the management structure of the city
and the operating budgets that each department is responsible for.
As the organizational hierarchy indicates, the City Council is ultimately
responsible for the entire budget.
